Sparkling Seashells (preregistration – class begins August 18)

Create beautiful frameable treasures in this wash and ink course! Learn to draw beautiful seashells on your own hand-dyed twinkling paper, add design elements to make vintage pieces for your home or to give as gifts. PREREQUISITE: Ink Drawing Jumpstart.

In the first lesson, learn how to dye your own watercolor paper to prepare it to accept designs in the other lessons; then find out how to adapt thrifted frames to prepare for pieces you'll create in class.

Then take the inking techniques studied in the jumpstart class, and apply them in combinations as you learn to draw gorgeous seashells provided as photos. Trace the main shapes or freehand as desired. Photos will be provided at various sizes so you can scale to your own picture frames.

Add watercolor to some, as desired (that will be demonstrated) or leave them as beautiful inked pieces alone. After finishing the course, go back and create even more pieces by combining different lesson techniques with the shells in other lessons for even more art!
