Need to tighten your grip? Try this relaxing technique — it’s a wonderful way to loosen up. I loved it!

I started this class with no idea that I could achieve my desired results. You cannot imagine my surprise when the lessons fell into place so beautifully. The trick for me was simply following the instructor’s step-by-step videos to get water on paper and then letting the paints flow together for a very natural look. Once done, the inking was a snap. I have taken many classes through art-classes.com – in several mediums. This was one of the most fun! I highly recommend it!

A delightful introduction to watercolor wash and ink! I’m not new to watercolor, but I usually sketch first and then “paint within the lines”. The result tends to be a bit static and lack spontaneity. With Sandy’s tutorials, I am able to loosen up and let the watercolor blend as it will on paper, then use it as a guide for applying ink to define contours. I’m really enjoying this approach and find myself using it more and more. If you have ever thought about combining watercolor and ink, you’ll be surprised by what you can achieve after taking this class!

I purchased this class because I loved the way the purples became a lilac branch. I found the lessons to be challenging and very rewarding. I don’t particularly like loose watercolor, but adding ink brings it to a whole new level. This is a technique I will enjoy trying over and over. Be sure to give this class a try yourself.

This class was my first time trying the “wash & ink” method and I LOVED IT!!!! Requiring only a minimal number of supplies you get to create some very fun works that you will hardly believe you were able to do. I have used these techniques to make a number of greeting cards. The approach is very freeing and fun. A really great class.
