In this year-long course, you'll create a page or a spread in your own nature journal to capture what you see in your own environment! Using prompts, compositions, color combinations, and other artistic elements, you'll learn how to design your own pieces and discover the natural world all around you.
What does Level 1 to 2 mean? Some familiarity with watercolor is expected; if you're looking to simply learn watercolor, Watercolor Jumpstart might be up your alley. Demos will show some watercoloring and pen and ink samples each month, but students will go find their own local resources to paint on their pages.
The first lesson of each month will have video content of over an hour; after that, weekly lessons will be on the 7th, 14th, and 21st. In each, the instructor's pages for that week will be shown with notes on how they were created. Challenges will be issued each week - though you can use them as directives, jumping off points, or even ignore them completely and create what inspires you! They'll be provided each week to give you a nudge to get out on your weekly walk, and will stem from some portion of the video content or photo lessons.
