This is an intermediate course, therefore supplies for the Watercolor Jumpstart class are assumed. The colors you used in that class are just fine, but the hues used by the instructor are below.
(This Pre-class lesson has no video; the FREE Pre-class lesson for WCJS has more basic info on watercolor including some video that can be very helpful.)
I retain the copyright to the content you are learning in class. That means…
However…I love to see students making strides and taking this teaching and personalizing it with your own skills.
At the bottom of each lesson you’ll see some ways to share your homework and ask questions, so that’ll be handy for you.
You can use whatever brands of paints you prefer; results may differ but I always encourage trying to use what you have first before spending a fortune on more supplies. I use Daniel Smith watercolors because of their quality, transparency, and lightfastness.
You can use any paper, but I can’t recommend more highly using the good stuff; you’ll be learning the techniques to use on THAT paper, instead of fighting a cheap paper then having to rediscover new techniques. You’re worth a pad of the good stuff even if you’re a beginner!
You might want to have one of these options at hand.
