Watercolor Backgrounds for Cardmakers

Category: Tag:

This class is specifically designed for cardmaking artists who want to explore watercolor…not necessarily paint an object, but to learn to use the wonderful properties of watercolor to create beautiful backgrounds on which to add other elements!

The 15 techniques range from basic washes to splashy loose watercolor – and more controlled techniques employing both styles. Many techniques can be combined together to create even more unique backgrounds…so you may want to stock up on watercolor paper, as this can become addictive!

NOTE: Finishing off the cards with stamps and dies is *not* included in this class, but the piece created in each video is shown in the class lessons as one possible way to utilize the background.

1 review for Watercolor Backgrounds for Cardmakers

  1. I just can’t do spontaneous water coloring. I practice and practice. In fact, I’ve taken this course a couple times to help me get the knack of of loose water coloring. That’s the great thing, I can retake classes here.
