Description
One of the most relaxing mediums to watch is watercolor….the way the paint moves through the water can be positively mesmerizing! But one of the most frustrating activities for some people is actually trying to paint!
Set aside some time along with your preconceived notions about watercolor being a difficult medium. In this class, you’ll be walked through mixing basic colors – using a set of three warm colors, a red, yellow, and blue, and a set of three cool colors – a different red, yellow, and blue. Be amazed at how many different hues can be mixed by combining different colors together!
You also don’t need to know how to draw; you’ll learn how to transfer a photograph onto watercolor paper to be painted, then follow along with real-time videos to paint 5 basic fruits. A variety of techniques will be taught as you paint each one, techniques you can use in all kinds of paintings in your future!
- Beginner Level (can be taken before or after watercolor jumpstart)
- Over 6 hours of video instruction
- Subject matter: fruits
- Supplies are found in the free preview lesson
- Language: English
Join this class and see how relaxing it can be to watch color move – when it’s on your own paint brush!

Such a great introduction to watercolor… and fills in so many of the basics that I needed along the way. I like that I can rewatch the lessons and pick up things that I missed the first time.

This is an excellent course for first time watercolorists. Sandy’s teaching is clear and effective. She encourages and enables her students to achieve success in their art. The step by step videos make it easy to follow along and create beautiful fruit, while learning basic color theory and techniques. I like that the supplies required are good quality but limited to basic necessities. A bonus to this class is that NO drawing skills are required. This is one of my favorite classes!
