If you’ve ever wanted to become stronger in your watercolor skills, but need an extra leg up to get into daily practice – the intermediate level 30 Days to More Confident Watercolor Sketching is right up your alley! These postcard-sized lessons will help you learn a lot of loose techniques quickly.
With daily painting, you may start to discover your own go-to style; throughout the class, techniques are taught at a small scale in loose, sketchy styles. Lessons are geared to help you try out a technique in a simple way that you may decide to incorporate into your larger works! The paintings are on postcards, but you can also work in a watercolor sketchbook as desired.
Some facility with watercolor is needed; basic foundations are not covered, though some simple color mixing will be happening on-screen that may help you learn to use your color palette in interesting ways.

When I started this class, I was pretty clueless about watercolor other than watching videos and making simple greeting card backgrounds. Sandy’s mode of teaching encourages freedom of expression as she explains papers to use, suggested paints and brushes, as well as management of water, mixing colors, thickness/thinness of WC pigment, wet on wet, wet on dry, and perspective.
If you like watercolor and want to learn more, I highly recommend this course.
Kathy Kelsay –
The 30 days to more confident watercolor sketching was such a fun and helpful class for me to take. I learned many more skills in watercolor and how to balance the paint and water to achieve contrast. I do feel more confident in myself to move on to bigger and better paintings.
