If you’ve ever wanted to take a new step in your artistic journey but were just a bit nervous about getting into a class that was too artistically serious - the 30 Days to More Confident Sketching is quite likely right up your alley!
To become a better artist, spending a few minutes a day sketching is crucial to seeing progress - even 15 minutes a day makes a huge difference! Lots of my students want to be able to take more advanced classes and learn to draw animals, scenes, people, landscapes - but the drawing part can be intimidating. So let’s just call it sketching and lighten up on ourselves a little bit! Whether you’re an urban sketcher, a painter in any medium, a Bible Journaler, or a crafter wanting to up your game in creating scenes in copic markers or pencil - some basic confidence that you can look at the subject or a photo  and sketch it freehand will enable you to do so much more than you can right now!

I have never considered myself an artist. After taking Sandy’s 30 Days to More Confident Sketching course, now I DO! Sandy’s videos offer a start-to-finish demo each day. Even so, with minimal skills, you’ll find yourself making personal artistic choices from Day 1. While you may feel slow at first, you should soon be zipping along making beautiful sketches. Like so many things in life, you get out what you put in! Students also have access to the Artventure Community. Fellow students and moderators write lovely comments and offer advice and feedback along the way – and share their art as well! Finally, this class is an excellent value for your money. You get 30+ videos (6+ hours) and additional resources to keep you making art well into the future. I heartily recommend it!

I enjoyed the challenge of learning more about drawing trees, clouds, fur and perspective. I now know it’s better to sketch a subject first before I make the final piece of art.

Sketching, the art of putting pencil to paper and get your idea, subject on out there.
Sandy helps you loosen up and harness you inner artist and let it out with out fear!

Signing up for this class really did take some bravery on my part. I did not consider myself to have any ability in terms of drawing. This class really DID make me more confident about sketching! Right from the very first lesson, I learned not just about the materials, also how to break sketching down to basic shapes. I enjoy the approach that sets Sandy apart … she gives detailed explanations that just seem to speak to me. The materials that I purchased were minimal and all very useful as I continue this practice. I continue with a sketch book that I use regularly. Still not sure about ability… although I can guarantee hard word and practice…practice…practice have shown lots of improvement in my sketching!
