Spooky Mansion: Preclass

Welcome to the preclass lesson!

We’ll be talking about the supplies needed for this course – you may already have plenty at home you can use! I always encourage trying out what you’ve got whenever possible. See the video for discussion!

Supplies:

As with all my classes, use colors, paper, and brushes you love, prepared for different results. But if you want some treats, here’s what was used in this class.

Daniel Smith Watercolors:

1. Yellow Ochre 
2. Moonglow 
3. Lunar Blue  used for the spooky barn lesson only

Paper

1. Arches Cold Press Pads: BLICK –  Amazon 
2. Arches Cold Press sheets (I use quarter sheets in this class)

Brushes

1. Da Vinci Maestro Kolinsky Sable Round 12
2. Da Vinci Maestro Kolinsky Sable Round 4
3. Mottler Flat Wash 30, DaVinci

Miscellaneous

1. Spray bottle
2. White artist tape, 3/4” 
3. Grafix Art Board to tape down my paper
4. TWSBI Eco fountain pen Fine or Extra Fine
5. Platinum Carbon Black (waterproof) ink
6. Hahnemule Lettering Pads  (only used for the epic pen and ink project)
7. King Art graphite transfer paper or apply graphite to the back of a printout to transfer it to your watercolor paper
8. Sharpie marker
