Donut Shop Perspective: Preclass

Welcome to this “snack” class!

This “Artventure Snack” course originally was located only at Artventure – our platform for sharing, asking questions, getting encouragement, and making friends along the way.

In a course like this, you can see if you like the teaching style around here. A preclass lesson like this is available for free for each course here at Art-Classes, so anytime you’d like to see what kind of supplies you’d have to get, you can view the information prior to beginning the course.

Before we start…a little housekeeping

I retain the copyright to the content you are learning in class. That means…

  1. Do not sell or give away the concepts from my classes – you may not re-teach my instruction contained or created within these lessons.
  2. Do not post a video tutorial or step by step photo tutorial of your own redraw of class content.
  3. Do not repost any handouts you receive in class.

However…I love to see students making strides and taking this teaching and personalizing it with your own skills.

  1. DO make your own designs and develop your own style! I love that!
  2. DO gift your creations made with these techniques, of course!

At the bottom of each lesson you’ll see some ways to share your homework and ask questions, so that’ll be handy for you.

The stamp

While you can use ANY stamp as the featured character on this card – feel free to pick up the adorable walrus. I mean, he’s got donuts.

Supplies

Paper: The paper I like most when using markers and pencils together depends on how much I rely on the pencil or the marker. In this case it’s marker, with just details rendered in pencil, so I’m recommending Neenah. Whatever paper it is, be sure you are comfortable with how your pencils perform on it.

  1.  Neenah Cardstock, Solar White, 80lb AMZ

Markers:  Copics are used in the demo but feel free to draft your own brand into the fray! Find colors similar to those above.
