What does “intermediate” mean here?
The class is taught with paper and pens – no stamps, no sketches, no net! That doesn’t mean it’s going to be terribly difficult, but it does mean that at least a basic facility with Copic markers is a must. Some experience with making marker strokes, blending, and flicking is needed; as well as the willingness to put a lot of color on the paper. Scenes are not for the timid who are hoarding ink in their pens. *smile*
This class is appropriate for artists working in any genre – cardmaking, fine art, animé, etc. Lessons are taught on a small paper – each is 4-1/4″ x 5.5″ but can be adapted to a larger size as desired – just remember if you double the size of the paper, you may need to double the size of marker strokes.

Easier than it looks!
Going into the class, I expected creating these scenes would be really complicated. The videos are great and with a little practice I was creating adorable autumn scenes. I love that I can add beautiful autumn scenes to my ever growing stamp set. I can't wait to take some more of the Copic Scenes classes in the future.
I agree with the other comments. This class was so cool for me. I was creating through Sandy’s instruction and I had to pinch myself because I CAN do it! This class was amazing. Thank you
This was the first series of courses I completed. I was amazed at what I was able to produce after completing these classes. I do admit, I watched them all before I ever put a marker to paper but then I followed Sandy's advice of all the watching in the world is not going to train your hand to make the correct strokes. I did the exercises in all but the spooky road (I don't have enough Copics in my stash to attempt that one yet) and then I tried incorporating the techniques as a background with a stamped image. I was totally amazed at how easy it was to apply the knowledge received in this class to something of my own design. Well worth the class fee and the time I spent on it.
I never thought I could come close to what Sandy's art looks like, but by following step by step along with her I created scenes I was quite proud of - some I was even willing to show to other people! I love the fact that I can go back over each lesson - stop when I want to practice - and then start again. I am going to take Winter Wonderland next since I have gained so much confidence. Don't misunderstand me - Sandy Allnock I'm not, but I now have the confidence to accept the level of accomplishment I'm at and know that with practice I will continue to improve. Thank you Sandy for all you've taught me - like to accept who I am and not expect to be perfect.
