Bible Journaling 101
Creative worship – making art in your Bible – can, for some, be a relaxing and spiritual experience. For others – it does nothing but add stress. What mediums to use, what will bleed through, can the words still be read!? So many questions.
The focus in this class is on discovering mediums that do not bleed through the page, that do not obscure the text, and require no page prep! The instructor’s philosophy is that Bible journaling should be stress-free, not fraught with expensive supplies and extensive learning, and this class will help relieve your mind of many worries you may have.
The 10 lessons are not tutorials to create pages; but many will show you some ways to apply the medium to a Bible page. It’s recommended to go through the entire class with a notebook at hand, and jot down one or two mediums to try first. There’s no need to buy more than a simple pack of pencils, watercolor pencils, or watercolor paints in order to get started!
The class also discusses the process of coming up with ideas, from devotions through getting an image on paper. That’s actually the most important part – praying through the Scriptures for yourself, hearing from God, then documenting what He’s told you. This class will get you started on that journey!

It's me Faith
I Can't Wait for the Books to come out!!!! I have enjoyed the videos and can't wait to get started.
Sandy’s Bible Journaling 101 course has been so helpful! When I first started journaling I kept hearing about people having to prep their pages so their watercolors, markers, pens, etc. wouldn’t bleed through. One of the things I love about Sandy is that she does not prep her pages and explains what she does instead and the supplies she uses that don’t bleed. Wonderful information for anyone wanting to learn more about Bible Journaling!
Lots of Great Information
I am loving this class because I can totally see some of the to do and not to do. I can also see that it is ok not to try to be so perfect that it is about my relationship with God and nothing else. I can relate to the reading and not retaining so looking forward to doing some of this. Now to just get started!!!
Excellent class. I admire the beautiful work Sandy does, not sure I will ever get close to that perfection but I have enjoyed the classes, learned a lot and its even more enjoyable to read the bible seeing some of my work on the pages. Best part about all these classes, self paced. Will be taking more classes.
I have been intrigued by illustrated bible journaling for quite some time. Problem was, I didn't know where to start. This course is a fantastic introduction with beautiful examples of the tools you can (and cannot) use for your illustrations. I thoroughly enjoyed Sandy's friendly manner and method of explaining the various mediums she presented in each lesson, not to mention the peaceful soundtrack. One of the most important points was her introduction to the course on reading the Bible, focusing on a verse that speaks to you, spending time reflecting on it, and using that reflection to inspire your illustrations. I highly recommend this course!
