Fruit of the Spirit Preclass

Welcome to the Preclass lesson! We’ll be discussing the supplies used – and don’t skip on the 2nd video, it talks about the paper we’ll be using in the class.

NOTE: If you’re not Bible journaling, you’re still most welcome to join in the class! Feel free to use your own favorite papers and colors, etc – I suspect some folks may even try some of these in other mediums, but lessons focus on colored pencil.

Before we start…a little housekeeping

I retain the copyright to the content you are learning in class. That means…

  1. Do not sell or give away the concepts from my classes – you may not re-teach my instruction contained or created within these lessons.
  2. Do not post a video tutorial or step by step photo tutorial of your own redraw of class content.
  3. Do not repost any handouts you receive in class.

However…I love to see students making strides and taking this teaching and personalizing it with your own skills.

  1. DO make your own designs and develop your own style! I love that!
  2. DO gift your creations made with these techniques, of course!

At the bottom of each lesson you’ll see some ways to share your homework and ask questions, so that’ll be handy for you.

Supplies

You might already have these items – or something similar 🙂

Set up

Cut a piece of cardstock slightly larger than your Bible page, then you can trace it onto the Tomoe River Paper. Align the printout you’ll get in lesson 1 the way you want it. When TRIMMING to create a tip-in, figure out which side will have the gutter, and leave an extra bit so it’ll tuck in on that side.

Pick out the colors you’d like to use – download this PDF with conversion lists for the different brands, or substitute as desired! Few of the art pieces will be “ruined” if you don’t use the same colors, so feel free to improvise. (Tap on the graphic to download the color image.)
